Good news for K-Pop fans: Flower Boys Kyu Jong and Young Saeng will be here on Feb. 5 for a meet-and-greet/showcase as part of their Asian tour.
The two are popular among Filipino fans as members of the boy band SS501 which sang some of the songs in Boys Over Flowers, the Koreanovela aired on ABS-CBN. They’ve become known as Flower Boys since then.
The Asian tour is their way of saying thank you to their fans for their unwavering support through the years.
Kyu Jong and Young Saeng first gained prominence in Asia as members of SS501 whose other members are scattered in four different agencies. But they can always regroup if needed and if their schedules permit. Young Saeng’s voice is said to be the “vocal backbone” of SS501 because of its strength and clarity, while Kyu Jong’s is part of the group’s “middle vocals, the heart of the group.” The popularity of SS501 skyrocketed after their leader, Kim Hyun Joong, gained superstar status when he played a major role in the global
Their Asian tour was kicked off in Seoul on Dec. 4 last year, with stops in Bangkok on Dec. 11. Next is the Hong Kong leg of the tour before they fly to Japan and then to Manila. It is Kyu Jong and Young Saeng’s first meet-and-greet with fans after they signed up with B2M
The meet-and-greet/showcase will be held at the PICC’s The Forum 2 at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 (a Saturday). Tickets are priced at P6,950 (VIP); P4,950 (Green); P3,450 (Gold); and P2,000 (Silver).
According to the producers, as bonus 100 VIP ticket holders will have a chance to shake hands with Kyu Jong and Young Saeng, to be decided in a raffle for VIP ticket holders and sponsors only.
The first 100 Green ticket holders will have a chance to bring home an autographed poster.
