Feb. 05, 2011 is the day I'm waiting for because its the day for the Manila fanmeet. I left home at around 9am and arrived at the Sofitel Hotel around 12:30pm. Because of heavy traffic that's why i arrived so late. When I was already at the LRT station, my friend texted me saying that KyuSaeng are about to go out to have some lunch. That instant I prayed that I hope I can still catch them before going out of the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, luckily KyuSaeng are still inside the hotel preparing to go out.. A lot of TripleS are already waiting outside the lobby to have some glimpse of them.. We waited and waited until we saw some of the security going out already and telling us to keep quiet so that KyuSaeng will not be scared. When KyuSaeng are about to go out, i prepared my camera to record them and finally i got one clear fancam. TS are singing Snow Prince and Kyu made the shhh sound but smiling. Saengie is smiling too and when someone called him he said hi. When they already got to the van and the security closed the doors, literally, I cried after seeing them. I cried because of happiness because I never imagined to see them in person after 1 year of being a TripleS. When KyuSaeng are already in the van, they kept on waving to the fans and you can see to their eyes that they are happy because of the full support we are giving to them.
At around 5:30 pm, me and my friends are already going to the venue at PICC Forum 2. When we arrived there, a lot of fans are already waiting outside the venue and taking some pictures with the tarpaulins that are already displayed. When I saw that they are selling cds, I want to buy the SS501 Super Hits but it was so expensive that's why I did not bought it, but when I saw that they are selling lightsticks too I want to have one but still I can't afford it. I'm thinking that if I bought one I may not be able to go home ahaha. After that, me and my friends are wondering around when I noticed that some fans are getting wild because of something. When I heard that the lucky winners for the handshake session are already out, I got excited too and nervous hoping that I'm one of the luckiest fans. Because honestly, I told to my friends that seeing them in person is already enough for me and the handshake session is just a bonus so I did not expect anything. When I got to the booth where the lucky winners were announced, I immediately looked at the winners in row F and guess what!!! I AM ONE OF THE LUCKY WINNERS!!!! ROW F SEAT NUMBER 164!! That time I thought I'm just daydreaming that's why I checked carefully my ticket if its true and YES I'm ONE of the Lucky Winners. I immediately told my friends about it because of excitement and asked them to look it carefully for me and yes its still confirmed. And from that moment, I already anticipated the handshake session ^_^ And due to excitement, I bought the lightstick with YoungSaeng's name on it ahaha.
At around 6pm, the organizers are already allowing the fans to enter the venue. They checked very carefully the bags because all cameras are not allowed inside the venue that's why our cameras were surrendered to the security. Good thing I have still my cellphone to take some pictures ^_^ When I entered the venue, the staffs are ushering me to where is my seat is and when I already got into my seat, I started to take some pictures of the stage. The stage is so well-made and beautiful and I'm so happy that I can still see the stage very clearly. And when the show is about to start, I got disappointed because even cellphones are not allowed so I have no choice but to enjoy the show and scream with my heart's content.
And the show started....
The lights were out and Kyu is going out the stage singing Because I am Stupid. We were screaming until Saengie got out of the stage too. Again seeing them performing on stage in person is also one of my ultimate dream and that instant I told myself that this is not just a dream, its REALITY. KyuSaeng sang very beautifully while fans are still screaming non-stop. When the song ended, the MC got out of the stage and I am so happy because the MC is Grace Lee ^_^ She's also the one who interviewed Leader Kim HyunJoong and FT Island when they visited the Philippines. And then question and answer came. In here, KyuSaeng have to choose one letter from the word MANILA and behind these letters are the questions fans wants to asked them.
During this time, the fans we're screaming and Kyu said calm down ^_^ The first one to choose is Kyu and he chose the last letter A. The question (not the real question though but the essence of it is just the same) is "If SS501 have a comeback and will have a concert, will they include the Philippines?" Kyu answered that for now they are busy preparing for their solo activities so no definite details yet about SS comeback but they are happy to go back soon in the Philippines. Next one is Saengie and he chose letter M (because he asked what letter to choose and fans said M ^_^) The question is (again not the real question, i think all the questions are not the same but the essence is still there) "As SS501, you sang and danced Snow Prince, do you still remember it? Sing and dance if you still do." And the fans screamed when Saengie and Kyu got off from their seats and the audio for Snow Prince is played. YS is singing and dancing the chorus part of Snow Prince while Kyu is at the side joining him ^_^ And then its Kyu's turned and chose the first letter A and the question is "What is your reaction when you heard about your Filipino fans?" and Kyu answered that he's happy to see us and shocked at the same time because he did not expected to see a lot of fans attending the fanmeet. And then Saengie's turn and chose letter I and the question is "Is there a chance you will fall in love with a TripleS?" When the fans saw the question , they screamed and anticipated for Saengie's answer. Saengie said a lot of things and the fans are not satisfied with his answer and he said that he was shocked at the question and did not expected it so finally he said that its hard to fall in love in just one TS so he wants to fall in love with everybody. And lastly to Kyu and chose letter L and the question is "To KyuJong and YoungSaeng, if u choose to switch places with one another, what will you do?" Kyu answered that he wants to go to a Karaoke bar and sing with his friends because Saengie likes to sing and has a beautiful voice and Saengie answered that Kyu went to a public bath long time ago wherein you are totally naked, that's why Saengie wants to go there too because its not his body that is exposed anyway but its Kyu's ^_^ Saengie is being naughty answering this question :) and then the MC asked if we want to continue the Q&A portion and the fans said yes but Kyu said that if we will continue the Q&A portion there will be no performances anymore ^_^ Kyu is teasing us always :)
And then its solo performance. When we heard Nameless Memory of Saengie, we thought that its Saengie who's singing it but we were shocked that the one who's singing is Kyu!! Its the first time seeing Kyu singing the song of Saengie and not his own song. During that performance, I thought that it is Kyu's solo but we were all wrong because Saengie suddenly went out the stage singing with Kyu and the rest is a duet!! And again its the first time they did this to all the fanmeetings I have seen!!! A duet!!! The 2 boys are so sweet while singing the song because they kept on looking with each other just like lovers!! So cute :)
After their duet, its time for cooking contest and they will be preparing one of the famous desserts in the Philippines which is the Halo-Halo. When the MC is explaining what to do, Kyu is listening but Saengie is in his 4D World!! He's just looking at the ingredients and when the MC noticed it she said that Saengie is in his own world and the fans are laughing :) And then the loser will have to drink Ampalaya Juice which is so bitter in taste. Then its Halo-Halo Making Contest. When Kyu started to put the ice on the glass the fans started screaming telling Kyu even to Saengie what ingredients to put first.. They are so cute looking at the fans and pointing to the ingredients what to put first and so on and when Kyu and Saengie already know what to do they continued until the last glass is done. At first, Saengie is looking at the ingredients but eventually tasting them one by one!! Kyu tasted the frozen banana and did not like it that's why he never put them in his Halo-Halo. And when they are done, they started to draw some lucky fans to taste their Halo-Halo.. 3 lucky fans were called but 4 went up the stage!! 1 from Philippines, 1 from HongKong and 2 from Japan. And they tasted the Halo-Halo. One of the fans gave Kyu a 9.5 and Saengie a 10. I love the playfulness of Kyu because when the fan gave Saengie a 10, he started to chase the girl!! Kyu is so cute scaring the girl ^_^ but at the end, Kyu wins and Saengie have to drink the juice. When Saengie saw the juice, he's looking at it intently and asked the MC to remove the bubbles from the juice and the MC telling Saengie that its a healthy drink. When its done, Saengie started to drink the Ampalaya juice in one gulp!! That's when the fans started to chant "HEO YOUNG SAENG". And then Saengie put down the juice and Kyu said that even though the fans told you to drink it in one gulp you dont have to do it but still Saengie got again the juice and drank the rest. When Saengie finished it, the MC asked him how is he doing and Saengie said that I think I'm healthy already and Kyu said that Saengie needs to drink it because he's already getting old!!! Fans were laughing at this ^_^ And then the MC asked Saengie again if we can continue the program and Saengie said yes.
After the Halo-Halo Making Contest, they showed the AVP wherein Kyu and Saengie went to LA. After that, its solo performance again and this time its Saengie's Love Like This English Version. Fans were screaming when Saengie started singing and honestly i loved the dance steps of Saengie's version. Saengie is smiling and enjoying the performance and he did the sexy dance and he lift up his t-shirt and we saw his abs!!! OMG fans went wild upon seeing this!!! And honestly its different when you saw it in person rather than the fancams. Its more sexier in person!! And i think the fans are waiting for that moment including me ^_^ After Saengie ended his performance with his signature pose of peace sign, Kyu went out singing the RnB version of Never Let You Go. Again fans went wild because they are also anticipating one thing and that is the crotch grabbing!!!! When Kyu did that, fans went wild again screaming out loud!!! And again its different when you saw it person!!! I tell you its really different ^_^ After the solo performances, its interview portion again but this time the MC telling the fans how sexy the boys are and Saengie said that if you enjoyed that sexy dance how about the remaining performances and the fans anticipated this again.
After that, AVP showing again wherein it tackles the everyday life of Saengie and Kyu. Saengie playing baseball and Kyu went to Lotte World. The one that touches the heart of the fans is when Saengie was asked how important to you the TripleS and he answered "As high as the sky, as vast as the Earth." ^_^
After the AVP, its solo performance again but this time its Kyu's Wuss Up but Saengie is the one who's singing it!! Again, another surprise for the Filipino fans and again I thought its Saengie's solo but I was wrong because Kyu went out the stage singing Wuss Up too and it turned out that its another duet!! During the performance, Kyu and Saengie went down the stage and the fans went to the front but unfortunately KyuSaeng did not went to the screaming fans because of security and they have no choice but to go back to the stage.
After Wuss Up, the MC and Kyu went out the stage again and Kyu said that its Saengie's idea to do the Wuss Up duet ^_^ And then, while the MC is talking, Saengie went out the stage bringing the birthday cake for Kyu. The MC is asking the fans what is this and the fans said that its Kyu's birthday in 24th of February and because of this Kyu was so surprised and happy. And then the MC is asking why is there 3 candles in the cake and Saengie answered that Kyu's mentality is just like 3 years old ^_^ The fans were shocked at Saengie's answer. After that, we sang Happy Birthday to Kyu in Hangul and Tagalog :) Saengie is joining us in singing and its just amazing that we sang the song in tagalog version. And then Kyu was teary-eyed and said thank you and made a wish and his wish is that to celebrate his birthday again with the TripleS :)
After Kyu's birthday celebration, its time for the AVP the fans made for KyuSaeng ^_^ The song is entitled At The Beginning by Richard Marx and Donna Lewis from Anastacia Movie. The video has the lyrics of the song in Hangul and English and KyuSaeng watched it intently at the side and at the same time reading and understanding the meaning of the song. When the AVP is finished, the MC asked what they can tell about the Filipino fans. Saengie said that he's touched by many fans in the Philippines because he did not expected this and that he will strive more to be better in the future. Kyu said thank you and that the lyrics is close to his heart and will strive more for the future to have the support of the Filipino fans. Kyu is once again teary-eyed. He asked what is the title of the song and we said At The Beginning by Richard Marx and he said that from this day on, whenever he heard this song he will remember it because he loves the song so much. The fans we're so touched by this because it really represents them and we will never forget this song also :) And then the MC asked who made the fanvid and a girl went up the stage to receive a gift from KyuSaeng. Saengie said Mahal Ko Kayo and gave a photo collection as well as Kyu.
And then, KyuSaeng draw 2 lucky winners to receive a gift from them too. This time its a handcream. One girl with her early 20's i think and a 14 year old girl. When KyuSaeng were told that the girl is just 14 years old, they said Woah and Kyu bowed to the parents even though the parents of the girl are outside the venue!! What a sweet gesture from Kyu ^_^ And then the MC asked the girls who would they want to apply the handcream to them and they said that the girl with her 20's said Kyu and the 14 year old girl said Saengie. While the MC explaining to us what KyuSaeng's gonna do, Kyu and the girl is whispering with each other just like lovers and that made the fans envy her :) When its time to apply the handcream, both men started to apply it to the girls. Kyu just applied the handcream and then instructing the girl how to do it. Saengie, on the other hand, made every Saengie's bias including me envy the girl because Saengie really applied the handcream in both hands and to the fingers each. The fans were envying the girl and Saengie said that she's just like his younger sister and the fans said Ahhh. After applying the handcreams, the MC noticed that the 14 year old girl is shaking and that's the time Saengie hold her shoulders to keep her relax and the fans went wild again because the girl is just a lucky one. Saengie already hold her hand many times, hugged her and even saying that she is like a younger sister to him. Honestly that time I wished it was me ahaha.
And then interview part again. Kyu said that time is so fast. Saengie said that he will remember and treasure this moment.
After that its their final song, Wings of the World. When Kyu started singing, the fans started to sing along too until Saengie started to sing his part. Its the most intimate part between KyuSaeng and the fans. At the middle of the song, KyuSaeng let the fans sing the song while Kyu is on the left side of the stage and Saengie on the right side (if you are looking from the stage, Kyu on your left and Saengie on your right). While the fans are singing, Kyu pointed the microphone to us and cupping his ear so that he can hear us singing. After that, Kyu went to the right side joining Saengie and doing the same. Before the song ended, they went to the middle of the stage and finishing the rest of the song while fans are still singing too. After their performance, they said Salamat Po and bowed to the fans and left the stage. After that, the AVP of Kyu's message to the fans was shown followed by Saengie's message. During the AVP, the security are ushering the fans to go out already so that the handshake session for the 100 lucky fans will begin shortly.
When we were already outside the venue, the organizers told us to line up so that we can enter the venue again for the handshake session. And then the time has come. We entered the venue by 10's in each batch. I was the 5th one from the first batch and while the organizers preparing the stage, we waited at the center aisle. I asked one of the securities if we can give them our gifts and he said yes but we have to put the gifts in the box provided in front of the stage because we cant give them personally to KyuSaeng. My gift to them is just a fan letter to each one of them and I'm hoping that they will read it ^_^ And then we were asked to deposit our bags to the security and get them again after. And then it was time for the handshake session. I am already at the stairs of the stage when KyuSaeng went out the stage. And then the handshake began. The handshake session is really fast. You can count it to 5 seconds. When it was my time to shake their hands, I saw Saengie's hand and grabbed it while saying thank you and smiling. Saengie also says thank you while smiling ^_^ And then Kyu's turn. Again, when I saw Kyu's hand, I grabbed it saying thank you while smiling and Kyu doing the same. Honestly their are hands are so soft!!! I love to hold those hands again promise!!! And during the handshake session, KyuSaeng will do an eye contact while saying their thank you's. When i got off the stage, I grabbed my bag from the security and while walking going out the venue, I am still mesmerized on what happened. I think due to happiness, using my right hand I touched my face imagining that the hands of KyuSaeng are the one who's holding my face ahaha. And outside the venue, my friends asked about it and i told them how soft the hands of KyuSaeng are. And after that, I went to the booth where you can get your souvenir. While I'm in the line, I'm still shocked because everything happens really fast but that moment is just amazing ^_^ Anyway, the souvenir we got from the fanmeeting is a big poster of KyuSaeng. Because of the size of the poster, I cant post it in our room ahaha that's why i decided to keep it ^_^
And after the fanmeeting, all the fans waited again outside the lobby of Sofitel to wait for KyuSaeng's arrival. Because the fanmeeting started at around 7pm and ended at around 9pm. We were outside the lobby for I think 2 hours so my roommates decided to go up first in our hotel room and deposit our bags there. When we were already at the room, I decided to go out the veranda and guess what?! I saw TS running to the parking lot and saw the van where KyuSaeng are. So we immediately got out the room, went inside the elevator and because of excitement, we were already going out at the 4th floor ahaha. But when we knew that it was the 4th floor, we went again inside the elevator and when it hit the last floor, we rushed outside the elevator, going down in the escalator and luckily we saw them entering the lobby hall so we waited at the hotel lobby. We can see KyuSaeng already, but because the fans went wild, the security blocked us and got the chance to see a little glimpse of KyuSaeng. We were disappointed because the security already told us to kept quiet but because of the fans getting wild screaming the names of Kyusaeng, the entourage walked so fast. Kyu is receiving the gifts from fans while smiling but Saengie you can tell on his looks that he is already tired. And that instant, we hope that KyuSaeng were still okay despite of what happen during that time.
And then, Sunday came. I was not able to say goodbye to KyuSaeng because I have to go home early due to a promised made to my mother :) But despite of not saying goodbye to them, I was really happy becoming part of this event because I had a difficult time asking for money to buy a ticket. After all those difficulties I had through, I can really say that it was worth it ^_^
And lastly, I want to share this to all of you. Before the day of the fanmeet, Feb. 04, 2011, I wrote on my Facebook account this status:
i gotta feeling, that tonight's gonna be a good night.. that tonight's gonna be a good night.. i gotta feeling ^_^ i can definitely say that tonight's gonna be a good night and tomorrow is the most wonderful and memorable gift we'll ever received ^_^ i'll be back on sunday and i will update the blog that day ^_^ good night to all ^_^ see you tomorrow :)
And I did not expect that its really gonna be a good night for me. ^_^ And I told to my friends also that I may forget what happen during the fanmeeting but I will definitely not forget the handshake session with KyuSaeng because now everytime I close my eyes I can still remember the smiles on the face of KyuSaeng ^_^ You can see to their eyes that they are really grateful to the fans because of the support they got with TripleS with all those years ^_^
I will always remember February 5, 2011 because I got the chance to meet Kim KyuJong and Heo YoungSaeng and this is the best day of my life which I will be treasuring forever ^_^ The best gift I received for this Valentines Season. One of the best, memorable, overwhelming and a treasure that will be kept forever. I will not stop saying thank you for KyuSaeng for giving me the opportunity to meet them in person ^_^
A fan account is not enough to justify how grateful I am and 2 hours is not enough to be with KyuSaeng. But I can guarantee you that this 2 hours I experienced with KyuSaeng is the best 2 hours I had for the 24 years of my existence ^_^
